Watson has said,
|
"It doesn't matter what is true; it only matters what people believe is true"
And
"If you don’t know an answer, a fact, a statistic, then ... make it up on the spot."
|
Let these nuggets of wisdom resonate in your melon for a little while. No other statements sum up the anti-sealing
industry more clearly than these. With all this evidence it really brings into perspective the questionable
character, or total lack there of, of Paul Watson. If a person is willing to commit the acts he has,
demonstrate a total lack of respect for human kind and seems to be an outright liar is it so hard to believe he would
do something as trivial as fabricate information for his own needs? If this were a court of law and we were
presenting the evidence of a criminal case, Paul Watson would be nothing more than an unreliable witness.
In a recent interview, when asked if he viewed violence as a "legitimate means of social change," Watson replied,
|
|
"We are a violent species, and we always solve our problems with violence. There have been no exceptions.
Nonviolent victories are a myth. Force has always prevailed…One person's terrorist is another person's
freedom fighter."

This statement brings an old adage to mind, "Live by the sword, die by the sword". We could only be so lucky.
