When contacted for a quote on the Vlasak situation Watson said,
|
"You ask me to condemn a trauma surgeon, who saves lives, who simply spoke up to expose the hypocrisy in our
society … absolutely not,"
|
And when Elizabeth May, the executive director of the Sierra Club of Canada, after hearing Vlasak's statements
gave this(RealPlayer Required) interview Watson came back with,
"I would never condemn him. So, if she has a problem with that, that's her choice."
|
Hmmm... all I can say is kiss your ass goodbye if Vlasak is the trauma surgeon sewing you up and a cat limps by.
I guess he missed that class on the Hippocratic Oath but back to the SSCS. After all these gruff statements by Watson he must
have been informed on the finer points of how an association and acceptance of Vlasak's point of view could be damaging
to the level of contributions for the society. Watson, in his usual fashion does a 360 on his former statements and dumps Vlasak
from the SSCS Board of Directors.
Now just when you think it could not get any better/worse, that the SSCS and Mr. Watson could not possibly sink any lower they do something
to prove they can attain a whole new level of idiocy of which mankind had yet to attain. Yes I guess we could call them
trailblazers in the art of stupidity. On April 2, 2005 a sealers name, mailing address, phone number and
the name of his wife were listed on a weblog attached to the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society website. This reaches an
all time low especially seeing what followed after the post. Mr. Genge went on to say after recieving 50-60
threatening phone calls,
|
|
"They're telling us they're going to skin me, they're going to kill me, they're going to kill my family …
they're coming to get us,"
|
When first questioned about the incident Watson, in true form, claimed to know nothing about it but later removed the post from their
webpage. Is it me or does this guy remind you of the stereotypical used car salesman.
