There may be an important distinction, however, between IFAW Canadian and Russian strategies. While the IMMA
is a lobbying group which IFAW quite legitimately has sought to cloak in respectability, IFAW activities in
Russia have been focused on government scientists.
What does all this mean? Quite simply they are full of shit. If they can not use science to prove their point
then they find scientists who they can buy to fabricate the science to prove their point. This being the
typical course of action for an organization not interested in the truth and more concerned about money.
It is interesting to note that when Brian Davis, founder of the IFAW, retired he took with him roughly $2.5
million dollars. Let me ask all you righteous pump your arm and save the world types something. Close your eyes and imagine
you form an organization to fight against everything you hate about the world. The organization grows and you have the man power
and the money to fight any cause you wish. Would you really take a $300,000 salary and when you retired after having such a salary
would you take $2.5 million so the organization could keep using your name. Be honest to yourselves people. This guy formed
the organization to make cash, a veritable business venture if you will. Now the next time you go to give money to this organization close your
eyes and imagine this, you are a cow in a long line of cattle filing into a barn to be milked.
If you have read through the information about all the groups involved in the anti-sealing industry you are
sure to have noticed that there is not a single one with any amount of integrity. The cruel fact of the matter
is that they use the seal hunt as their biggest fundraiser for the year. In doing
so they have a devastating affect on the Inuit people and on the struggling fishermen of the Maritimes and
Atlantic regions while taking salaries in the hundreds of thousands of dollars. It is nothing less than
despicable and disgraceful. If you are going to give to an animal rights organization then give to a reputable one,
one that will help one of the many marine mammals that are actually endangered instead of one which uses the seal hunt
as a money grab.
