I am a Canadian, and I am very proud of my heritage. I think the seal hunt is what, as a Canadian, ashames me the most. I witness the seal hunt every year, and you can say what you want, but it is inhumane. Baby seals are torn away from their parents, which are then clubbed over the head. After the hunt, the blood stained ice is littered with pups, that are now milkless, and starve to death.
Hi John,

This is pretty funny stuff John so let’s break it down. First of all you say you are from Canada and have your location as St. John’s, Newfoundland but from what I can tell you are from North Tonawanda, New York. Now let’s just say that you are actually Canadian and have moved to New York. Let’s also say that you are maybe a Rebecca Aldworth lackey and travel to the hunt every year or maybe even some independently wealthy wing-nut who travels to the hunt every year out of personal interest. All of which are leaps of faith just to accept the first few sentences of your comment and allow them to bear some semblance of truth in hopes of keeping a shred of your credibility intact. But then you drive home the preverbal last nail in your coffin. Harp seals are not killed until roughly two weeks after they have been weaned by their dames/mothers. They are independent creatures which swim and hunt for themselves, nowhere near their mothers who are in a completely different area mating and moulting.

A word of advice if I may, if you are going to represent yourself as something you are not in an attempt to sell fabricated information then you should spend a bit of time researching the basics of the issue to avoid looking like a complete moron.

Take care,
Mike
John's second comment,
I am on vacation visiting family and Niagara Falls. Wow, I traced your ip and you are from Toronto. I bet you have never even been to Nova Scotia.
Hi John,

Hmm...That's interesting although I would have to question your ability to trace someones IP as you are incorrect. Try again from this IP and see what results you come up with. My IP is 142.162.65.91, I'm sure you can verify this, which if plugged into this IP lookup site, http://whois.domaintools.com/, will show as a St. John's address.

Regardless of where you are or where you are from my point was basically pointing to the question of how you visit the hunt every year? Also I really like how you sidestepped the information I provided on when harp seals are killed and their proximity to their mothers.

Take care,
Mike
