I would suggest you check specialized sites dedicated to marine biology etc. or other sources for the most up to date and accurate list of endangered marine mammals. This list , while it is accurate, is meant to make a point as to why anti-sealing organizations are so concerned with the harp seal which is listed as having a common status when the list below shows animals that are in greater need of their help. Unfortunately the list of endangered land mammals is much more extensive. As Paul Watson said there is just no money in saving them. Does this actually make sense to anyone? You ignore certain species on the brink of extinction because you can't make money from it but then protect an animal which is not even close to being endangered. This being said these groups do some work for select species like dolphins and whales where there is also money to be made but others like the sea turtle are basically ignored.
